Metals Testing Company receives Rolls-Royce approval for providing Ultrasonic Inspections
Metals Testing Company (MTC) is now approved to provide Ultrasonic (UT) inspection services for Rolls-Royce Allison related work. The approval applies to EIS 1197, EIS 1198, and EIS 1225 requirements. Given this approval, MTC now anticipates to perform UT inspection work on such items as disks, blades, shafts, seals, rings, and other engine related parts.
With this latest milestone, MTC is now approved to provide UT inspections for Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney, GE Aircraft Engines, Honeywell, and MTU Aero.
MTC, located in South Windsor, CT (USA) provides NDT laboratory inspection services to various markets ranging from aerospace to automotive industries. Their in-house capabilities include immersion and contact ultrasonics (UT), chemical etch and etch anodizing, fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI), and magnetic particle inspection (MPI). With regard to aircraft engine manufacturers, MTC is one of the few approved independent laboratories in the world for providing Blue Etch Anodize (BEA) inspections.
