MTC Systems Overview
History & Capabilities
MTC Systems is a sister division of Metals Testing Company (MTC),
both collectively owned by Delisle Inc. Its roots date back
to 1994 when MTC first contracted HNS Consulting to complete
and later upgrade the remaining inventory of ultrasonic (UT)
immersion tanks from JB Engineering.
In 1999, the combination of MTC and HNS Consulting began developing
a complex motion control capability for ultrasonically inspecting
an advanced airfoil blade. The finishing touch to that system
was the addition of an advanced UT C-Scan Imaging System (AMDATA
IntraSpect™ system). The system was then qualified and has since
been used to inspect such blades for the current and next generation
advanced US military fighter aircraft. We have since developed
and released our fourth generation complex contour following
system.

The principal member of AMDATA NDE Technology joined MTC in
2002, bringing a strong background of UT and Eddy Current (ET)
imaging application knowledge to the mix. He also brings working
relationships of third party vendors with vast immersion tank
experience to bear at MTC.
In January of 2003, these internal and external MTC resources
were integrated to form the MTC Systems business group. The
net result is a combined experience list of:
- 23 Immersion Tank Upgrades
- 15 New Immersion Tanks
- Including 5 Systems with Complex Contour Following
What distinguishes MTC Systems as a provider of integrated
electro-mechanical Nondestructive Testing (NDT) solutions is
the proven track record of producing robust systems. Before
ever attempting to provide such technology to the world, the
results of our integration efforts were first proven to reliably
operate under the inspection production environment of Metal
Testing Company.
