Laboratory Inspection Services:
Ultrasonic (UT) Methods

Immersion Testing

Like many inspection labs, we have immersion testing tanks to handle either rotary and/or linear scanning.

We provide both zero degree and angle beam inspections on new or in-service parts.

What distinguishes our company are the additional skills and knowledge of our qualified personnel as well as advanced UT hardware.

Color C-Scan Data Acquisition

We have invested in some of the most advanced C-Scan data acquisition equipment available on the market today: AMDATA IntraSpect™ technology. With this system we are able to collect and store peak & time-of-flight (TOF) data, full RF waveform data, or the "in-between file size" video data mode. C-Scans, B-Scans, and A-Scans are then available for RF and video data. Resulting data files can then be archived on CD, as well as associated images transmitted as Tiff, Jpeg, etc. formats.

Complex Contour Following Motion Control

Unique to Metals Testing Company, we have developed our own motion control capability to handle complex contour following. Its first and continued use has been to inspect commercial and military advanced fan blade bond lines.
